Bob Prout (Robert Alan Prout) was born on May 11, 1951 in Chicago, Illinois. After going to high school at Fenger (Chicago, IL), Prout attended Knox College. Prout made his professional debut in the NFL in 1974 with the Oakland Raiders. He played for the New York Jets and Oakland Raiders over the course of his 2 year career.

Most people believe that 1975 was Bob Prout's best year.
