Bob Pollard (Robert Lee Pollard) was born on December 30, 1948 in Beaumont, Texas. After going to high school at Hebert (Beaumont, TX), Pollard attended Texas Southern University and Weber State University. Pollard made his professional debut in the NFL in 1971 with the New Orleans Saints. He played for the New Orleans Saints and St. Louis Cardinals over the course of his 11 year career.

Most people believe that 1977 was Bob Pollard's best year, as he ran back a fumble for a touchdown.
