Bob Petrella (Robert Petrella) was born on November 7, 1944 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After going to high school at South (Philadelphia, PA), Petrella attended the University of Tennessee. Petrella made his professional debut in the AFL in 1966 with the Miami Dolphins. He played in the AFL for 4 years, playing for the Miami Dolphins the entire time. Petrella also played in the NFL for 2 years, playing for the Miami Dolphins the entire time.
Most people believe that 1967 was Bob Petrella's best year, as he picked off 3 passes.
