Bob Penchion (Robert Earl Penchion) was born on August 11, 1949 in Town Creek, Alabama. After going to high school at Courtland (AL), Penchion attended Alcorn State University. Penchion made his professional debut in the NFL in 1972 with the Buffalo Bills. He played for the Buffalo Bills, San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks over the course of his 5 year career.
