Bob Newton (Robert Lee Newton) was born on August 16, 1959 in Pomona, California. After going to high school at John Glenn (Norwalk, CA), Newton attended Cerritos JC and the University of Nebraska. Newton made his professional debut in the NFL in 1971 with the Chicago Bears. He played for the Seattle Seahawks and Chicago Bears over the course of his 11 year career.
