Bob Motl (Robert Joseph Motl) was born on July 26, 1920 in Chicago, Illinois. After going to high school at Austin (Chicago, IL), Motl attended Northwestern University. Motl made his professional debut in the AAFC in 1946 with the Chicago Rockets. He played for the Chicago Rockets for his entire 1 year career.
