Born on April 10, 1895 in La Veta, Colorado, Bob McGraw (Robert Emmett McGraw) played for the New York Yankees, Boston Red Sox, Brooklyn Robins, St. Louis Cardinals and Philadelphia Phillies over the course of his 9 year career. McGraw broke into the bigs on September 25, 1917 with the New York Yankees, and put up a 4.59 ERA in 174.1 innings pitched in 1926, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Bob McGraw's best season was 1926, when he posted a 4.59 ERA.
