Born on May 28, 1923 in Wyandotte, Michigan, Bob Kuzava (Robert Leroy Kuzava) played for the Cleveland Indians, Chicago White Sox, Washington Senators, New York Yankees, Baltimore Orioles, Philadelphia Phillies, St. Louis Cardinals and Pittsburgh Pirates over the course of his 10 year career. Kuzava broke into the bigs on September 21, 1946 with the Cleveland Indians, and put up a 4.02 ERA in 156.2 innings pitched in 1949, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Bob Kuzava's best season was 1951, when he posted a 3.61 ERA, won 11 games and struck out 72 batters.
