Bob Koehler (Robert Adam Charles Koehler) was born on April 7, 1894 in Chicago, Illinois. After going to high school at Wendell Phillips (Chicago, IL), Koehler attended Northwestern University. Koehler made his professional debut in the APFA in 1920 with the Decatur Staleys. He played in the APFA for 2 years, playing for the Chicago Cardinals and Decatur Staleys over the course of his 2 year APFA career.Koehler also played in the NFL for 5 years, playing for the Chicago Cardinals the entire time.
