Born on July 8, 1964 in Aurora, Illinois, Bob Kipper (Robert Wayne Kipper) played for the Pittsburgh Pirates, California Angels and Minnesota Twins over the course of his 8 year career. Kipper broke into the bigs on April 12, 1985 with the Pittsburgh Pirates, and put up a 4.03 ERA in 114 innings pitched in 1986, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Bob Kipper's best season was 1989, when he posted a 2.93 ERA and struck out 58 batters.
