Bob Kennedy (Robert Daniel Kennedy) was born on August 18, 1920 in Chicago, Illinois. He made his Major League debut on September 14, 1939 for the Chicago White Sox. In 1940, his rookie year, he hit .252 with 3 home runs and 52 RBI. Kennedy played for the Chicago White Sox, Cleveland Indians, Baltimore Orioles, Detroit Tigers and Brooklyn Dodgers over the course of his 16 year career.

Most people believe that Bob Kennedy's best season was 1950, when he hit for a .291 average and knocked in 54 runs.
