Bob Jeter (Robert DeLafayette Jeter, Jr.) was born on May 9, 1937 in Union, South Carolina. After going to high school at Weirton (WV), Jeter attended the University of Iowa. Jeter made his professional debut in the NFL in 1963 with the Green Bay Packers. He played for the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears over the course of his 11 year career.

Most people believe that 1966 was Bob Jeter's best year, as he picked off 5 passes and ran back 2 interceptions for touchdowns.
