Bob Hooper

Born on May 30, 1922 in Leamington, Ontario (Canada), Bob Hooper (Robert Nelson Hooper) played for the Philadelphia Athletics, Cleveland Indians and Cincinnati Reds over the course of his 6 year career. Hooper broke into the bigs on April 19, 1950 with the Philadelphia Athletics, and put up a 5.02 ERA in 170.1 innings pitched in 1950, his rookie year.
Most people believe that Bob Hooper's best season was 1951, when he posted a 4.38 ERA, won 12 games and struck out 64 batters.
