Bob Heinz (Robert Kenneth Heinz) was born on July 25, 1947 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. After going to high school at Lincoln (Stockton, CA) and Messmer (Milwaukee, WI), Heinz attended San Joaquin Delta College and the University of Pacific. Heinz made his professional debut in the AFL in 1969 with the Miami Dolphins. He played in the AFL for 1 year, playing for the Miami Dolphins the entire time. Heinz also played in the NFL for 8 years, playing for the Miami Dolphins and Washington Redskins over the course of his 8 year NFL career.

Most people believe that 1972 was Bob Heinz's best year.
