Bob Heck (Robert Elgin Heck) was born on June 17, 1925 in South Bend, Indiana. After going to high school at Washington (South Bend, IN), Heck attended Purdue University. Heck made his professional debut in the AAFC in 1949 with the Chicago Hornets. He played for the Chicago Hornets for his entire 1 year career.
