[edit] Biography

Born on March 8, 1930 in New York, New York, Bob Grim (Robert Anton Grim) played for the New York Yankees, Kansas City Athletics, St. Louis Cardinals, Cleveland Indians and Cincinnati Reds over the course of his 8 year career. Grim broke into the bigs on April 18, 1954 with the New York Yankees, and put up a 3.26 ERA in 199 innings pitched in 1954, his rookie year.

There is some disagreement on what was Bob Grim's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1957, when he posted a 2.62 ERA, won 12 games, notched 19 saves and struck out 52 batters. However, others believe that it was 1954, when he posted a 3.26 ERA, won 20 games and struck out 108 batters.
