Bob Gonya (Robert James Gonya) was born on June 15, 1910 in Chicago, Illinois. After going to high school at Mount Carmel (Chicago, IL), Gonya attended Northwestern University. Gonya made his professional debut in the NFL in 1933 with the Philadelphia Eagles. He played for the Philadelphia Eagles for his entire 2 year career.

Most people believe that 1934 was Bob Gonya's best year.
