Bob Geren (Robert Peter Geren) was born on September 22, 1961 in San Diego, California. He made his Major League debut on May 17, 1988 for the New York Yankees. In 1989, his rookie year, he hit .288 with 9 home runs and 27 RBI. Geren played for the New York Yankees and San Diego Padres over the course of his 5 year career.

Most people believe that Bob Geren's best season was 1989, when he hit for a .288 average.
