Bob Gallagher (Robert Collins Gallagher) was born on July 7, 1948 in Newton, Massachusetts. He made his Major League debut on May 17, 1972 for the Houston Astros. In 1973, his rookie year, he hit .264 with 2 home runs and 10 RBI. Gallagher played for the Houston Astros and New York Mets over the course of his 3 year career.
