Bob Dee (Robert Henry Dee) was born on May 18, 1933 in Quincy, Massachusetts. After going to high school at Braintree (MA), Dee attended Holy Cross College. Dee made his professional debut in the NFL in 1957 with the Washington Redskins. He played in the NFL for 2 years, playing for the Washington Redskins the entire time. Dee also played in the AFL for 8 years, playing for the Boston Patriots the entire time.

Most people believe that 1961 was Bob Dee's best year, as he recovered 5 opponents fumbles.
