Bob David (Robert Joseph David) was born on January 15, 1923 in Blue Island, Illinois. After going to high school at Mount Carmel (Chicago, IL), David attended the University of Notre Dame and Villanova University. David made his professional debut in the NFL in 1947 with the Los Angeles Rams. He played for the Los Angeles Rams for his entire 2 year career.

Most people believe that 1948 was Bob David's best year.
