Bob Carey (Robert W. Carey) was born on February 8, 1930 in Charleroi, Michigan. After going to high school at Charleroix (MI), Carey attended Michigan State University. Carey made his professional debut in the NFL in 1952 with the Los Angeles Rams. He played for the Los Angeles Rams and Chicago Bears over the course of his 4 year career.
Most people believe that 1952 was Bob Carey's best year, as he hauled in 36 receptions, had 539 receiving yards and ran back a fumble for a touchdown.
