Bob Bruce

Born on May 16, 1933 in Detroit, Michigan, Bob Bruce (Robert James Bruce) played for the Detroit Tigers, Houston Colt .45s, Houston Astros and Atlanta Braves over the course of his 9 year career. Bruce broke into the bigs on September 14, 1959 with the Detroit Tigers, and put up a 3.74 ERA in 130 innings pitched in 1960, his rookie year.
Most people believe that Bob Bruce's best season was 1964, when he posted a 2.76 ERA, won 15 games and struck out 135 batters.
