Bob Barton (Robert Wilbur Barton) was born on July 30, 1941 in Norwood, Ohio. He made his Major League debut on September 17, 1965 for the San Francisco Giants. In 1970, his rookie year, he hit .218 with 4 home runs and 16 RBI. Barton played for the San Francisco Giants, San Diego Padres and Cincinnati Reds over the course of his 10 year career.
