Bob Balog (Robert Steven Balog) was born on November 2, 1924. After going to high school at Chaney (Younsgtown, OH), Balog attended the University of Denver and the University of Georgia. Balog made his professional debut in the NFL in 1949 with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He played for the Pittsburgh Steelers for his entire 2 year career.
