Bob Aspromonte (Robert Thomas Aspromonte) was born on June 19, 1938 in Brooklyn, New York. He made his Major League debut on September 19, 1956 for the Los Angeles Dodgers. In 1962, his rookie year, he hit .266 with 11 home runs and 59 RBI. Aspromonte played for the Los Angeles Dodgers, Houston Colt .45s, Houston Astros, Atlanta Braves and New York Mets over the course of his 12 year career.

Most people believe that Bob Aspromonte's best season was 1964, when he hit for a .280 average and knocked in 69 runs.
