Bob Asher (Robert Dabney Asher) was born on June 13, 1948 in Arlington, Virginia. After going to high school at Bishop O'Connell (Arlington, VA), Asher attended Vanderbilt Universtiy. Asher made his professional debut in the NFL in 1970 with the Dallas Cowboys. He played for the Chicago Bears and Dallas Cowboys over the course of his 5 year career.
