Born on January 31, 1950 in Los Angeles, California, Bob Apodaca (Robert John Apodaca) played for the New York Mets for his entire 5 year career. Apodaca broke into the bigs on September 18, 1973 with the New York Mets, and put up a 3.50 ERA in 103 innings pitched in 1974, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Bob Apodaca's best season was 1975, when he posted a 1.49 ERA and notched 13 saves.
