Bob Anderson
[edit] Biography
Born on September 29, 1935 in East Chicago, Indiana, Bob Anderson (Robert Carl Anderson) played for the Chicago Cubs and Detroit Tigers over the course of his 7 year career. Anderson broke into the bigs on July 31, 1957 with the Chicago Cubs, and put up a 3.97 ERA in 65.2 innings pitched in 1958, his rookie year.
There is some disagreement on what was Bob Anderson's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1959, when he posted a 4.13 ERA, won 12 games and struck out 113 batters. However, others believe that it was 1960, when he posted a 4.11 ERA and struck out 115 batters.
