Bob Allison (William Robert Allison) was born on July 11, 1934 in Raytown, Missouri. He made his Major League debut on September 16, 1958 for the Washington Senators. In 1959, his rookie year, he hit .261 with 30 home runs and 85 RBI. Allison played for the Washington Senators and Minnesota Twins over the course of his 13 year career.

There is some disagreement on what was Bob Allison's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1963, when he slugged 35 home runs and knocked in 91 runs. However, others believe that it was 1962, when he slugged 29 home runs and knocked in 102 runs.
