Born on October 23, 1953 in Oakland, California, Bo McLaughlin (Michael Duane McLaughlin) played for the Houston Astros, Atlanta Braves and Oakland Athletics over the course of his 6 year career. McLaughlin broke into the bigs on July 20, 1976 with the Houston Astros, and put up a 2.85 ERA in 79 innings pitched in 1976, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Bo McLaughlin's best season was 1977, when he posted a 4.25 ERA and struck out 59 batters.
