Bishop Strickland (Frank Bishop Strickland) was born on January 4, 1927 in Mullins, South Carolina. After going to high school at Mullins (SC), Strickland attended the University of South Carolina. Strickland made his professional debut in the NFL in 1951 with the San Francisco 49ers. He played for the San Francisco 49ers for his entire 1 year career.
