Birdie Cree

Birdie Cree (William Franklin Cree) was born on October 23, 1882 in Khedive, Pennsylvania. He made his Major League debut on September 17, 1908 for the New York Highlanders. In 1909, his rookie year, he hit .262 with 2 home runs and 27 RBI. Cree played for the New York Highlanders and New York Yankees over the course of his 8 year career.
Most people believe that Birdie Cree's best season was 1911, when he stole 48 bases, hit for a .348 average and knocked in 88 runs.
