Bing Miller (Edmund John Miller) was born on August 30, 1894 in Vinton, Iowa. He made his Major League debut on April 16, 1921 for the Washington Senators. In 1921, his rookie year, he hit .288 with 9 home runs and 71 RBI. Miller played for the Washington Senators, Philadelphia Athletics, St. Louis Browns and Boston Red Sox over the course of his 16 year career.

There is some disagreement on what was Bing Miller's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1922, when he slugged 21 home runs, hit for a .335 average and knocked in 90 runs. However, others believe that it was 1929, when he hit for a .331 average and knocked in 93 runs.
