Billy Yelverton (William Grover Yelverton) was born on May 19, 1933 in Taylorsville, Mississippi. After going to high school at Central (Jackson, MS), Yelverton attended the University of Mississippi. Yelverton made his professional debut in the AFL in 1960 with the Denver Broncos. He played for the Denver Broncos for his entire 1 year career.
