Billy Wynne

Born on July 31, 1943 in Williamston, North Carolina, Billy Wynne (Billy Vernon Wynne) played for the New York Mets, Chicago White Sox and California Angels over the course of his 5 year career. Wynne broke into the bigs on August 6, 1967 with the New York Mets, and put up a 4.06 ERA in 128.2 innings pitched in 1969, his rookie year.
Most people believe that Billy Wynne's best season was 1969, when he posted a 4.06 ERA and struck out 67 batters.
