Billy Werber (William Murray Werber) was born on June 20, 1908 in Berwyn, Maryland. He made his Major League debut on June 25, 1930 for the New York Yankees. In 1933, his rookie year, he hit .258 with 3 home runs and 39 RBI. Werber played for the New York Yankees, Boston Red Sox, Philadelphia Athletics, Cincinnati Reds and New York Giants over the course of his 11 year career.

Most people believe that Billy Werber's best season was 1934, when he stole 40 bases, hit for a .321 average and knocked in 67 runs.

Currently the oldest living Major Leaguer.
