Billy Vessels

Billy Dale Vessels, born in 1931 in Cleveland, Okla., was a member of the University of Oklahoma's National Championship team in 1950 and a Heisman Trophy winner in 1952. He played one season professionally with the Baltimore Colts before his career was cut short by an injury.
After going to high school at Cleveland (OK), Vessels attended the University of Oklahoma. Vessels made his professional debut in the NFL in 1956 with the Baltimore Colts. He played for the Baltimore Colts for his entire 1 year career.
