Born on 1863 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Billy Serad (William I. Serad) played for the Buffalo Bisons and Cincinnati Reds over the course of his 4 year career. Serad broke into the bigs on May 5, 1884 with the Buffalo Bisons, and put up a 4.27 ERA in 308 innings pitched in 1884, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Billy Serad's best season was 1884, when he posted a 4.27 ERA, won 16 games and struck out 150 batters.
