Billy Newsome

Billy Newsome (William Ray Newsome) was born on March 2, 1948 in Jacksonville, Texas. After going to high school at Fred Douglass (Jacksonville, TX), Newsome attended Grambling State University. Newsome made his professional debut in the NFL in 1970 with the Baltimore Colts. He played for the Baltimore Colts, New York Jets, New Orleans Saints and Chicago Bears over the course of his 8 year career.
Most people believe that 1971 was Billy Newsome's best year, as he ran back an interception for a touchdown.
