Billy Muffett

Born on September 21, 1930 in Hammond, Indiana, Billy Muffett (Billy Arnold Muffett) played for the St. Louis Cardinals, San Francisco Giants and Boston Red Sox over the course of his 6 year career. Muffett broke into the bigs on August 3, 1957 with the St. Louis Cardinals, and put up a 4.93 ERA in 84 innings pitched in 1958, his rookie year.
Most people believe that Billy Muffett's best season was 1960, when he posted a 3.24 ERA and struck out 75 batters.
