Billy Lush

Billy Lush (William Lucas Lush) was born on November 10, 1873 in Bridgeport, Connecticut. He made his Major League debut on September 3, 1895 for the Washington Senators. In 1896, his rookie year, he hit .247 with 4 home runs and 45 RBI. Lush played for the Washington Senators, Boston Beaneaters, Detroit Tigers and Cleveland Naps over the course of his 7 year career.
There is some disagreement on what was Billy Lush's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1904, when he knocked in 50 runs. However, others believe that it was 1896, when he stole 28 bases.
