Billy Lauder (William Lauder) was born on February 23, 1874 in New York, New York. He made his Major League debut on June 25, 1898 for the Philadelphia Phillies. In 1898, his rookie year, he hit .263 with 2 home runs and 67 RBI. Lauder played for the Philadelphia Phillies, Philadelphia Athletics and New York Giants over the course of his 5 year career.

Most people believe that Billy Lauder's best season was 1899, when he knocked in 90 runs.
