Billy Kinard (William Russell Kinard) was born on December 16, 1933 in Jackson, Mississippi. After going to high school at Central (Jackson, MS), Kinard attended the University of Mississippi. Kinard made his professional debut in the NFL in 1956 with the Cleveland Browns. He played in the NFL for 3 years, playing for the Green Bay Packers and Cleveland Browns over the course of his 3 year NFL career.Kinard also played in the AFL for 1 year, playing for the Buffalo Bills the entire time.

Most people believe that 1960 was Billy Kinard's best year, as he picked off 4 passes.
