Billy Joe (William Joe) was born on October 14, 1940 in Aynor, South Carolina. After going to high school at Scott (Coatesville, PA), Joe attended Villanova University. Joe made his professional debut in the AFL in 1963 with the Denver Broncos. He played for the New York Jets, Denver Broncos, Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins over the course of his 7 year career.
Most people believe that 1963 was Billy Joe's best year, as he ran for 649 yards and ran in 4 TDs.
