Billy DeMars (William Lester DeMars) was born on August 26, 1925 in Brooklyn, New York. He made his Major League debut on May 18, 1948 for the Philadelphia Athletics. In 1950, his rookie year, he hit .247 with 0 home runs and 13 RBI. DeMars played for the Philadelphia Athletics and St. Louis Browns over the course of his 3 year career.
