Born on November 6, 1865 in Cincinnati, Ohio, Billy Crowell (William Theodore Crowell) played for the Cleveland Spiders and Louisville Colonels over the course of his 2 year career. Crowell broke into the bigs on April 20, 1887 with the Cleveland Spiders, and put up a 4.88 ERA in 389.1 innings pitched in 1887, his rookie year.
