Billy Campfield (William Campfield) was born on August 20, 1956 in Las Vegas, Nevada. After going to high school at Derby (KS), Campfield attended the University of Kansas. Campfield made his professional debut in the NFL in 1978 with the Philadelphia Eagles. He played for the Philadelphia Eagles and New York Giants over the course of his 6 year career.

Most people believe that 1980 was Billy Campfield's best year, as he had 540 kick return yards.
