Bill Campbell (William Roscoe Campbell) was born on August 6, 1920 in Pawhuska, Oklahoma. After going to high school at Pawhuska (OK), Campbell attended the University of Oklahoma. Campbell made his professional debut in the NFL in 1945 with the Chicago Cardinals. He played for the Chicago Cardinals and New York Bulldogs over the course of his 5 year career.
Most people believe that 1946 was Billy Campbell's best year.
