Billy Brooks (William McKinley Brooks, III) was born on July 20, 1953 in Houston, Texas. After going to high school at Johnston (Austin, TX), Brooks attended the University of Oklahoma. Brooks made his professional debut in the NFL in 1976 with the Cincinnati Bengals. He played for the Cincinnati Bengals and San Diego Chargers over the course of his 5 year career.
Most people believe that 1977 was Billy Brooks's best year, as he hauled in 39 receptions, had 772 receiving yards and caught 4 TD passes.
